After 3 months of a break due to lockdown, the shooting of TV shows resumed in July. There is also new content making its way and audience have appreciated it. Adding more to the new content on television, Mohit Malik is all set to star in Lockdown Ki Love Story.
The name of the show itself is a giveaway of what one should expect. However, it would be interesting to see how they make present a love story to the couples who are away from their partners even now. Along with Mohit Malik, Lockdown Ki Love Story also stars Sana Sayyad in the lead role. The promos have been well-received as the show airs from today at 7 pm.
Koimoi spoke to Mohit about doing a show on lockdown, something that’s being followed in India even today. We asked him about his character, relatability factor in Lockdown in Love Story. We asked him if he wishes to participate in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi or Bigg Boss. Read below our full interaction with Mohit Malik:

Tell us about your show ‘Lockdown ki Love Story’ and your character?
I play the character of Dhruv, a desi banker from Allahabad who is a romantic at heart. A very honest and down to earth guy, calm and composed, also willing to do anything for his family and the one he loves!
This is the first love story to be based on lockdown. Aa very new concept for a Hindi TV show. Are you nervous/excited about the audience’s response?
The best part about the show I feel is the concept. It has never been experimented with before. Hence it is ready to bring a very refreshing feel for the audiences! I am very excited for people to see it because it is lighthearted, funny with a bit of romance, lots of emotions which will make you cry, laugh, feel sad, happy and so much more put together!
How do you think Lockdown Ki Love Story will be relatable for couple’s who haven’t met since lockdown?
Well, it will definitely be relatable for many couples, but how the story unfolds to relate with them is what you guys will have to watch out for!
Do you think post-pandemic, there will be a major change in the stories of shows/movies? More concepts like this will come up?
We are definitely going to see a change in many storylines, concepts and themes on television shows post the pandemic. People are going to look at exploring new content, fresh content and content which has not been touched upon before. So yes topics like these might definitely crop up now and then.
A lot of people are living with their family members during the lockdown. So along with the love story, will there be a focus on family bond too?
Yes, there is definitely going to be a lot of family bonding through the show. The essence of a family is going to be an important element of the show, which everyone is definitely going to enjoy.
Are you interested in participating in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi? Will you say yes to Bigg Boss if offered?
I would definitely like to explore the reality space as well, but as of now, it’s all going to be about Lockdown Ki Lovestory.
